Tombigbee RC&D Grants

  1. Who can benefit from RC&D?
We award grant funding opportunities to 501c3 non-profit organizations and units and sub-units of government for special projects that enhance our human and natural resources to improve the quality of life for local Alabama citizens.
  2. What types of projects are funded?
We fund projects that fall into two categories: Education Fund Projects and General Fund Projects. An Education Fund Project must have an educational component. All projects without an educational component are considered General Fund Projects.
  3. When do you apply for grant funding?
All RC&D projects run on a fiscal year cycle, beginning on October 1. We accept grant applications from April 1 to June 30. Applications are reviewed before October 1 to ensure all approved projects may begin at the start of the fiscal year.
  4. How do you apply for grant funding?
Visit the Grant Application & Info page for complete guidelines. Feel free to reach out to us with any further questions.

For all general questions, we recommend filling out the Contact Form that will be sent directly to our staff. If you need to reach any member of our staff directly, contact information is available on the Contact Us page.

Grant celebration days are something we always look forward to! They are a great way to showcase the finished project and communicate with the legislators who make our projects possible.

Event specifics are up to grantees’ discretion, but they typically take place at the project site and include media coverage, a few words from the grantee, and the presentation of a check.

If you would like assistance with planning your event, feel free to contact our Communications Specialist, Rose Grace, at rgrace@tombigbeercd.org.

Once you have concluded your project, you will submit a Project Completion Form. That form includes an attachment section where you can upload all pictures, invoices, etc. Please hold onto all relevant information until your project is completed.

You will need to submit all invoices/receipts from after October 1st (the start of the fiscal year). We also ask all grantees to upload photos of their project.
